Meet Our Contracts Manager, Daniel Cain

Anyone with experience in the M&E and facilities management sectors knows just how diverse the work in these sectors can be.

Dan's role at MEL means being responsible for several of MEL's key accounts and blue-chip clients; from providing quotations to cost tracking, preparing payment applications and leading client meetings.

Alongside this, Dan has to manage complex projects in a wide variety of different environments liaising with all the project stakeholders.

"To always work on being a good communicator and then follow through: to do what you say you are going to do."

To continue in Dan’s own words:

“Having worked within the M&E sector for the past 12 years, when the opportunity arose to join the MEL team as Contracts Manager it was apparent it was something too good to turn down. Working as part of a like-minded driven team brings the best results.

The best advice I ever received is to always work on being a good communicator and then follow through: to do what you say you are going to do. I enjoy playing my part passing this onto colleagues and mentoring new team members as we continue to grow and develop the business.

Throughout my career it has always been a matter of personal pride ensuring I deliver the best possible service to all my clients. This isn’t just about professional self-esteem that motivates me personally, it reflects positively on the whole team and means client retention remains at its optimal level. These core foundations are what enables us to deliver something special that the whole MEL team can be proud of.

From working with Merlin Entertainments UK through to one of the most prestigious colleges in the country means no two days are the same.

In my time with MEL so far, it has been refreshing to be part of a work family. We are all family people and Andy and Simon have been great role models bringing the family ethos into the MEL workplace environment.”
