MEL’s electrical work in listed and historic buildings is essential to the Provost’s Lodge refurbishment at Eton College – a landmark building at an iconic British institution.

Andy Collins, MEL Director, attended a site meeting at Eton College to review site progress on the Provost’s Lodge refurbishment project alongside our approved Electrician, Ryan Ward, who has been doing an excellent job - not only carrying out the work but also assisting with the coordination of the electrical elements of the project.

Our works are progressing well and on schedule. The majority of the isolation, stripping out of old wiring has been completed, making way for the start of the first fix wiring.

You can tell from the photos we had to start by having the original floorboards carefully removed and stored for safekeeping.

We then laid down chipboard to allow Ryan and his team safe access to the working areas.

Underfloor wiring – it may be hidden from sight but at MEL it’s still important we do it right 

Given the complexity of this refurbishment, we are leaving no stone unturned.

It’s a matter of personal and professional pride that we pay attention to the little details every step of the way.
